High voltage power supplies (HVPS) of different power categories
Each high voltage and each high current application has its own requirements with respect to the power supply.
Whatever your requirements are, we are able to realise compact DC power supplies up to several hundred kW on the basis of a modular power class system from 16 kW up to 75 kW.
Our high performance power supplies of SV series and KL series are available in industrial or in laboratory version as well as being an OEM component. Each optimised regarding it's use as HV current source or as HV voltage source.
A capacitor charging power supply, for example, is typically designed as a robust current source, whereas the current is immediately switched off exceeding the set value of the charging voltage. Precision mainly depends on the slew rate of the actual charging voltage and the response time.of the control system.
Capacitor chargers of Poynting GmbH provide repetition rates up to 100 Hz in standard design at reproducing accuracy of less than 0.1%. Higher repetition rates up to several kHz are available on request.
At lower slew rates of the charging voltage an accuracy level better than 0.01% is possible.
